So Sasuke beating Naruto in that fight was a good thing

I liked sasuke at first he was one of my favorite characters but as the story goes on he's becoming more and more annoying, its always susuke this and sasuke that with naruto and sakura, i wish bee's lariat finished him that time

I believe Sasuke leaving Konoha made the story much more interesting. If Naruto had some how managed to convince him to stay, I would have been very disappointed. I also agree with Maito Guy. Sasuke was a great character in the beginning of the series because his personality gave balance to Naruto's personality, but he is becoming more of an annoyance now.

If Sasuke had never left Konoha then Itachi would never have implanted the crow into naruto to activate when he saw his sharingan. Therefore Itachi would have never been freed from being controlled by edo tensei, which means Kabuto would have had to be stopped a different way. Too many things would change, that changes the whole story around.

One of the biggest mistakes in the manga in my opinion is the fact that Sasuke left after being part of team 7 for 1 year. The problem with it is it makes it seem completely ridiculous that Naruto and Sakura would chase after him relentlessly after only being on the same team as him for a year. They should have remained team mates for 3-4 years to make it seem real. This also would fix another issue with the manga IMO, the fact that Naruto and Sasuke are 16 yet they are among the strongest ninjas in the world. Not suggesting the manga should've been longer than it already is, they simply could have made time move faster than it did.

I think Sasuke leaving the village was the best thing for the manga. Naruto needed a rival someone to compete with and in the end have an all out battle with. The whole story would have changed if he would have stayed and I am afraid if he did he would have been underdeveloped and misused like every other character of the Konoha 11. I hate that we dont get to see Lee, Kiba, and Neji more often. They are forgot about till Kish needs some characters to fight in his war lol.
