Naruto has fought rinnegan user's like Nagato, Madara and Sasuke and beaten everyone bar Madara. So he already knows a lot about the rinnegan's abilities and when it comes to battle he's no fool and was shown to be capable of outsmarting the smartest of opponents. Add the knowledge he might've gained from Sasuke and he should be more than able to use the rinnegan as good as the original owner. In fact with the vast amount of powerful chakra at his disposal he might even be able to use the rinnegan's abilities at a far greater scale than the original users themselves. Ofc the user specific abilities of the rinnegan will be restricted to him I guess.

Not like Sasuke, Madara or Nagato, not in 1000 lifetimes and it doesn't fit with Naruto's style either. He'd be able to use the base abilities of it ie. seeing chakra etc that doesn't really require a skill set.

I doubt he'd ever master it to the same level Sasuke did, but if Nagato was able to make use of a borrowed pair with enough time, I doubt Naruto wouldn't. He'd be hella strong regardless.

You’re right to an extent, someone just has to focus chakra in the eye to activate something

but to master it takes practice like Kurama said about Sasuke’s rinnegan
