Has there ever been an explanation as to why his eyes have inverted Colours?

If he did end up unlocking the Rinnegan do you think it would look different as well?

Also any ideas why they're inverted?

The sages eyes because he has hermit mode like the elder brother and also will have rinne so that should give him the elder's rinne, because like naruto's eye it changed.
