Based on what, his Biju empowered self was knocking around chakra avatars like nothing, if he hadn't used Indra's arrow, he would have lasted far longer. His PS could only match one avatar before.

He didn't absorb the Bijuu's chakra with Preta. Preta facilitates the chakra from the source into your own body. Sasuke used an advanced version of Outer Path (the path that allows you to summon and control the Gedo and gives you control over Life and Death) and put the Bijuu's chakra in his Susano'o, using it is a holder like the Gedo Mazou was. And Bansho Tenshin wouldn't have been very useful against Naruto. Sasuke would have been eating at the least, a basic FRS to the face, and even if he absorbs it, it still takes time, which will give Naruto the time to get away, make a clone and bombard Sasuke while he's absorbing.
