Because Uzumaki clan are relatives of the Senju. They are blood related, maybe distant relatives, but that doesn't make it impossible. It just reduces the chance to inherit the right genes. I said it was possible, but the chances are low. Nagato is from the Uzumaki clan and he controlls the Rinnegan quite well don't you think? You think Madara just random picked someone? Think again!
