Did Asuma get soloed by pretty much one of the worst akatsuki members ever. It wasnt even close it was just brutal. Not only did he fail as a Sarutobi but he failed as a leaf jonin.

OR did it just skip his generation XD

I think his loss was due to lack of knowledge of the opponents abilities.

If it wasn't for Hidan's weird blood thingy, Asuma had that shit covered.

If you remember correctly, Asuma pretty much won. He chopped off Hidan's head. It was only after Kakuzu decided to help was when Asuma was killed.

Asuma was fighting Hidan, who literally can't die unless there isn't anything left of him. Removing his head, cutting off his arms, burning him, it's just pain that Hidan reviles in. Asuma had no clue about Hidan's abilities, so he died. Hidan and all other Jashinists are basically the "Black Knight" from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

He may not be in the same tier as other members, but without knowing abilities of Akatsuki members there is a high possibility they would get merked.

In the case of Hidan, spilling one drop of blood would get em killed (if they dont find out his techniques) :/
