As I explained in my post, Minato doesn't know where he was being sent to, so he could've just been playing it safe. Obito doesn't know the exact physical mechanics of Hiraishin well enough to be able to correctly determine whether Minato could escape boxworld or not.
I mean, for pete's sake, Obito thought chains would be a good method to restrain Minato! I don't think we can really take his judgement into account on this.
There's no concrete evidence either way.
And does Obito know the exact physical mechanics of Minato's jutsu to the point that he could accurately determine whether Minato could escape his dimension or not? I think not.
I mean, he thought chains were a good weapon against Minato, for Christ sake's!
to my knowledge no one with a summoning contract has been warped by Obito. Who knows?
Obito had no way to know about Hiraishin's exact mechanics.
Unless something in the manga shows him having full knowledge on how Hiraishin works exactly and everything it can do, then its impossible to know. What manga canon?
Show manga canon explicitly stating/showing Hiraishin can't be used to escape Kamuiland. There's none, so its not "manga canon". Know the difference.
Why wouldn't Minato be able to escape.
S/t is s/t. Haraishin allows Minato to travel through space & time.
Obito will never be able to defeat Minato. But sadly he has the perfect jutsu to battle him.
Obito isn't a brilliant mind like his sensei or his best friend.
It reminds me of the saying, you can have all the money in he world but without respect and character, it's useless.
Kamui was created through Obito seeing haraishin and having an intense emotional desire for Minato, his sensei to show up and save him when the boulder crushed his entire right side.
