So we just exclude his attempt to rinne tensei , his attack on Madara , helping Naruto , scarificing himself for Naruto .

That is the only thing that is excluded his speeches about rin are existent .
Will you change your mind about him? Or you'll still hate him anyway?

Obito's character was pretty inconsistent during his Juubito chapters. I feel that what came after really smoothed out some of the issues and tied everything together. Therefore, if he died "evil" (or whatever he was at the time Naruto and Sasuke defeated him), he'd be going out on a low point, with no proper resolution.

This, pretty much. Obito really lacked motivation. Its really irritating how, if you actually removed the concept of Rin, he might have turned out to be by far the best villain in this entire series.
