About Obito vs Minato. We saw Obito's loosing, but it was a time when he was unexperienced, he just tasted the new powers of him and decided to get his revenge. He was not clearminded guy, how on earth he could win agaist determined guy, who wants to save entire village? But Obito now is probably stronger than his teacher.

Don't use ABC logic. That's it. Each character has a move list and certain abilities that can be used to defeat an opponent. Some work better on others, some will naturally have the advantage than others would. Intelligence vs raw power also comes into play on some parts.

Like Kisame Vs Itachi. Kisame is clearly the stronger of the two ninja, but due to how smart Itachi is he would more than likely win against Kisame then Kisame would to Itachi.

It's the same thing with Deidara and Sasori. Deidara seems to be the stronger opponent and at first you'd think his explosives would wreck Sasori, but Sasori is clearly the smarter of the two and be able to nail Deidara with his poison.

You have to take in nearly everything before you can safely claim one character > is better than another. That is, unless it's just obvious like Rock Lee vs Pein.
