To be honest I feel like he still has a role to play even after reviving Madara

either he'll manage to survive partly due to his half-zetsu body being the sacrifice and not Obito himself

or perhaps being revived through edo tensei by Madara or something since he does know edo tensei and has access to Obito's DNA

Obito has been in worse condition and survived, which is why I still believe he might live

The way I imagine it is that Madara would revive Obito for the sake of dealing with fodders while Madara fights Hashirama 1v1 and in that time Obito will fight Naruto+Sasuke or Naruto 1v1 and show his true potential at full strength.

I mean Obito is literally the Dark Naruto which is one other big reason why I believe he won't die until he is beaten by Naruto himself.

It really is disappointing the way they portrayed Obito, after all that hype. I had a lot of hope for him being a powerhouse.

But I still have hope that he will gain the second sharingan because Kakashi did get fatally wounded as well

Can he escape from what Madara is doing to him or not? Hope he doesn't have a "Change of Heart" at this moment.. Well one good thing came out of this chapter - we see Madara's ruthlessness again.

If Madara knew the weakness to edo tensei and how it was originally used, I'm sure he knows the technique itself. He fought with Tobirama countless times and also was allies with him/hashirama for a brief period. He would have had access to all sorts of information on jutsu.

No he didn't - he released himself from it. He could know about Edo Tensei - this has nothing to do with him performing it. He probably doesn't and would have, had he known - Kabuto stated only Tobirama & Orochimaru know the jutsu.

Kabuto didn't know that Madara could break out of it either and same goes for Orochimaru with Hashirama.....it's an unknown unknown.
