It's more of a battle of skills than to the death if you are considering those jutsu.

But if it was, 8th Gate Lee would murder Sasuke.

I honestly think he'd present himself as a real challenge for Sasuke. He'd probably just use 6th Gate, and 7th Gate if things get real serious.

After all, Guy was able to face Jin Madara head on with the 7th Gate, and completely dominate him in 8th.

First of all 7th gatw guy was being played with by Madara and 8th gate guy had help from Lee minato kakashi and gaara but still couldn't kill him(I dare you to say plot saved madara cause guy almost had his head blown off by truth seeking balls) ,Sasuke durability has increased to the point he can withstand limbo attacks ,one must realize madara limbo was able to smack bijuu even before rikudou senjutsu, Sasuke survived a fall from an extreme height (you could see the outline of the earth when he and naruto ascended while fighting) and only coughed up blood, Sasukes speed has increased too(sliced madara), so with this speed and strength and the precog of his ems lee loses by either being outlasted or sliced/electrocuted/burned ,rinnegan isn't needed AT ALL
