Naruto is Uzumaki .. a distant relative of Senju... Narutos mother was a Uzumaki... Hence Naruto is considered a part senju..
On the other hand we have no such information on Minato..
Uhhmm no Minato and Naruto are not damn Senjus. Naruto is an Uzamaki which is closely related to the senju. Tobi was just relating their rivalry to the Uchia and senju
Naruto is not a Senju he is an Uzumaki (Who are just Relatives/descendants from the Senju) , and the only reason as to why he makes the wood style grow is because of the Strong force of nature in his Chakra while he is in the Kyuubi Chakra mode .
you must be either A) trolling or B) ignorant , Minato is not a Senju by a long shot . not to mention the fact that his name is Namikaze Minato .
and Tobi didn't call Naruto a Senju , he only said that he can see Hashirama's will in Naruto ..and that the rivalry between is Sasuke and Naruto is just like that between Madara and Hashirama (Senju vs Uchiha) , i.e : it's just symbolic not factual
Well i know kushina is senju too, my point was to say both are senju and is why naruto is covered in senju-ness, there is a point to this it does matter because this has been a story of 6 great senju of sage bodies (hashirama, mito, nagato, minato, kushina, naruto) with 6 great uchiha with eyes (madara, izuna, obito, shisui, sasuke ans itachi)

but Naruto is not a Senju in the sense Sasuke is an Uchiha. Obito called him as such because Naruto had inherited the will of fire, he belongs to the Senju not by blood but because he shares the same ideals. i suppose in that way, Minato is a Senju too. they might not be related to the clan, and according to what we know they might not, but they are part of the Senju clan because they have decided to protect and uphold the same values the Senjus did.

I was wondering what you all think about the lineage of Naruto. No one believes that he's a senju. What I think is that the story focuses on two rivals (senju and uchiha), one having the curse of hatred which leads them a never ending war against the other clan.
Tobi talks about the hate filled destiny of the uchiha clan:

Tobi here is talking about senju and uchiha, fire and hatred, and sasuke and naruto:

Isn't this clear enough that Naruto is a Senju? If you read the story well and understand it, Tobi is explaining how the rivalry between the senju and uchiha started. Why would he explain this to naruto if Naruto is not a senju? Why would his fight with sasuke be fated?

My take on this is that Naruto is a Senju!!
P.S. I think that what Kishi wants to say is that we make our own destiny and we determine our future from what we do now. We make our own future from our own actions and this is what Naruto is doing right now. Ending the hatred that was once in the uchiha towards the senju.
