LOL Had plenty of laughs.
But in all seriousness, love is an abstract phenomenon. You are confusing it with sexual tendencies. Now I love my sister, my mother, my male and female friend - they are my best friends actually. I am not sexually attracted to them. Love has many facets. You can love an idea, nature, entity, concept, your pets as well. I don't see how his confession of love would make him gay. I have never sided with Naruto, but this is a very narrow-minded and silly thinking. Naruto formed his first bond with Sasuke, so he loves him on many levels; as a friend, as a brother, as family, a rival and mentor who pushed him forward originally.
That hyperventilation was an important plot point, as it showed the intensity of feelings Naruto carries for the only man he calls his family. You can easily compare his love to what Sasuke and Itachi feel for eachother. It's a strange bond, but it's what kept Naruto going and made him strong. You can believe whatever you want to, but if this thread was serious, I'm sorely disappointed in the short-sightedness of this base. You don't have to be very old to realize that Naruto's love is not homosexuality. Case in point, love and *** are not even remotely related, so to mishmash them this way is not very mature.
