I'd trust Kurama over Obito any day. Maybe it just means that he let off his chains a bit so it could attack on its own? There's no right or ring answer at this point, not until it's stated in the manga.

Yeah it was, I usually read the chapters though about three times, just to look for little details and such. And well, when they come out I'm usually just waking up for work.(4am) So I reread them just to make sure I didn't read it wrong as well. XD
