I agree. I really thought Hinata would be out of that shy girl shell in the middle of Part II instead of the War-Arc.

Naruto and Hinata had lots of cover art together,but When Sakura appeared on cover with Naruto Sasuke was always their. That was Kishi way of telling you. Naruto and Hinata as the center alone and Sasuke and Sakura with Naruto in most in an adversarial situation. Naruto and Hinata were created one after a noter from the start and Sasuke and Sakura were created together as the last two in the Manga.
