Do you think he would have been able to quell the Uchiha uprising as Hokage?

I believe he could personally since the strife first sparked after the Kyuubi attack and the Uchiha were the ones suspected of initiating it.

With Minato alive, he could give a testimony that it was no ordinary Uchiha behind the attack, but someone pretending to be Madara. Whether this would be enough to cast suspicion off of the Uchiha clan is beyond me.

Minato also had Obito marked, and if he didn't die, would have had the chance to locate him again.

From sensing his chakra, he could determine if it was someone from the village or not.

I don't believe so. With the revelation that it was an Uchiha, distrust has the chance to spread. And with Danzo being ever the cautious man, he wouldn't let the Uchiha clan go along peacefully when they had such great potential.

To me, Minato didn't seem like an outstanding political figure. Hell, the Hokage reigning for a majority of the villages history was unable to stop his advisers from carrying out the Massacre.

Side Note: He could of also warped to Obito at any time and continued the battle. . . Man, maybe he might of prevented it if he managed to kill Obito and return the body.

Danzo would twist the Elders. 'This is confirmation that the Uchiha are a threat to the Village. We need to act now before this happens again.' etc. Which would cause the Uchihas to feel even more resentment toward the Village which may have sped up the coup and caused the Uchiha Massacre to happen that much quicker.

obito is kinda dumb for attacking the leaf on his own. he could have been found out and the plan ruined.

according to the anbu filler (yes filler) they knew someone was sneaking in past the barrier.

Bam, but Danzo is also responsible after we got clarity of the Shisui event. I think he would have handled Danzo like the third should have and them he wouldn't have been able to take Shisuis eye. If anyone is to blame for the massacre it's Danzo.
