Lower part of his body -> regenerates upper part -> a whole madara.

Upper part of his body -> regenerates lower part -> another whole madara.

That makes 2 Madaras xD.

I dont know that we have an answer to him being able to "regenerate" anything. If I remember correctly he hasn't done so yet.. when he lost his arm he replaced it with Zetsu's.. in this most recent manga when Madara was revealing his role beind Rin's death he's still half a body. I think if anything he either CAN regenerate but either chose not to yet or maybe cannot in Kamui dimension.. or he cannot regenerate but has to get back to his legs to put himself together like Tsunade when she was cut in half.. Just my thoughts, interested in your responses... actually scratch that I just remembered he regenerated part of his chest when he was hit by Gai's evening elephant... so why is he still legless???? hahahah
