If Madara was alive during war arc would he have been so successful

During the war arc. If Madara wasn't an edo would he have survived as EMS/Mokuton madara?

If he was living w/ EMS he would've made it up to where he fought Edo Hashirama, then he'd be blown up by Bijuu Dama or defeated by Hashirama again. If he was living w/ Rinnegan then he'd massacre everyone up until he became the Juubi Jin, then he'd destroy Gai and activate IT before Naruto and Sasuke could stop him.
