Soo... if Lucy were a dude from the beginning of the show what would fairy tail be like? just a random thought...

Im thinking kinda like OP from Zoro's point of view but idk.

I dont think i would really like that, there needs to be some gender difference, but i still dont understand how she is the main character, she gets no power ups and looses almost every fight, i half the time she gets no screen time. Natsu is the main character in my book.

ok, it hard for me to see Lucy as a Zoro type of character (which are my favorite type of characters) she as a main character lacks all main character traits which i entirely don't get but hell

OT: but i don't see the story being all that different lucy would still loose a majority of her fights and i picture lucy as more of a Usopp type character (weak and stay weak)

If Lucy were a dude, we would have got a pretty depressing show with Natsu looking for Igneel and mourning for Lisanna....
And Hiro would have most likely opted for a Erza-Natsu or Lisanna-Natsu pairing then.
Lucy is an important part as the female quotient to Natsu's side. A pairing like Naruto-Sasuke would seem way too yaoi in Fairy Tail, where fanservice is primed and where Lucy strips the most after Gray.
