If Kakashi were to replace Mei

Would Kakashi be able to replace Mei in the kage fight?
I believe Mei's suitons are of a higher caliber than Kakashi's. While Kakashi doesn't have Fire release he does have lighting release to combine with his suitons.

While Kakashi doesn't have Fire, Lava, or Boil releases he does have lighting release to combine with his suitons.
It also seems to me that Tsunade could power Kakashi like a battery so that perhaps he could have kamui'd Madara into a different dimension.

I've been tossing this idea around and neither of them are particularly suited for a team battle of this caliber, but for this particular fight I feel Kakashi would better fill the 5th spot.
But what do you guys think?

If the Preta Path can't absorb Kamui than I'd consider Kakashi more valuable as a whole (especially since Tsunade can give him more chakra). Overall though I feel that Mei's water jutsu was a valuable asset to them. They already had A to electrocute Mei's water dragons, so it wouldn't be as efficient IMO. The fact that Madara can constantly use top-tier Katons also makes a water-style specialist a better choice too. I might be forgetting crucial stuff though..

I would agree with this but as far as Madara goes he's used 3 katons since Mei has been there. She has only effectively stopped 1.

Madara has launched 3 katon's if i remember correctly and out of three of them Mei only stopped one.

Well the first one she didn't stop was the cause of the flower pollen I believe (which is why she got knocked out like some of the other Kages). I don't think Kakashi would do much better in that scenario. As for the second one, remember that Kakashi's water jutsu in part 1 have a record for taking the most hand seals to complete (or at least I think so). I do believe that Kakashi would have become more skilled since than, but I don't believe he has the "strength" in his attacks to pull it off, if you know what I mean. Your first image showed Mei successfully blocking the first Katon and using another huge water jutsu almost instantly afterwards. It's only my opinion, but I don't think Kakashi could replicate such feats.

Can kakashi hold his own against 5 susanoo clones?..kakashi is good..but against madara,the absolute best shinobis are needed..and mei is just a notch ahead of kakashi IMO..

About lightning i don't really agree with you. Concerning A, he only has close range lightning jutsu since he is a taijutsu fighter when sometimes long range lightning jutsus could be much more better in this fight to paralyse ennemy especially. So i think Kakashis versatility in lightning could have been better(A has speed and power though)

I think that Kakuzu's katon is more impressing and powerfull than Madara's katon.If Kakashi was able to handle Kakuzu's fusioned attack while protecting other,i think he'd do better than Mei in this fight with Tsuande and other kages.

About Kamui i don't think that preta can aborb it since it's a litle blackhole.Whith Tsunade , Kakashi's chakra will be high.

I think you misunderstood me there. I'm not saying that A's a better lightning style user than Kakashi as a whole, but the OP brought up the point that Kakashi could combine his water and lightning style to make them more powerful (kinda like what Darui did if you remember the beginning of the fight). It's been shown on panel that A can add electricity in Mei's attacks like he did right before Madara unleashed his Perfect Susano'o, so the idea isn't as "powerful" in this scenario.
