Many people believe he can already beat Itachi, other believe he is stronger. I personally believe Itachi is still overall stronger eventhough Kakashi closed the gap, but Itachi would lose in a match because of circonstances and the power of kamui in this manga. So if he was Uchiha, i believe he could have probably be even the strongest or close to Madara's level

Only one problem he would go blinded :sy:. Also he no where near Itachi level we have yet to see his full power

He can beat itachi due to kamui and Itachi's lack of knowledge of it..
but overall he's better.. take away kamui and even kakashi admitted in p2 that he needs help beating itachi... Itachi never even showed off his big guns such as susanno etc ..

even if he was an uchiha and got his own set of ms abilities (not kamui ofc, that's tobi's) , there's no guarantee he'd be on itachi's level...

You're forgetting itachi is only 21 and kakashi is 30? and itachi is above him without kamui..9 years experience difference and Itachi would still woop his ass .... if you look at age , it's like comparing Itachi , to konohamaru (Age wise)

the difference is vast between them in terms of skill.. completely apparent when 17 yr old itachi came and toyed with 3 jonins (databook said that )

Well first off kakashi would be a ****. He was already an ******* back then now that he got that uchiha pride it would be even worse. Secondly his skill set would be different.(fire/lighting techs instead of water/earth/lightning techs)
Also we don't know if he would awaken the ms(he is a genius but his arrogance is his downfall)
On top of that if he did awaken ms his ms would be different(but he still get's susanno), and would most likely go blind.
I can see him stealing obito's eyes though.

ITachi > Kakashi right now.. no clue why you put him on top of Itachi just cause of Kamui..

The difference is vast.. But Itachi is better cause of his freaking Sharingan.. which made Sasuke get on the taijutsu level of lee.....


Take away the sharingan from both... Kakashi pawns.
