If Kakashi and Obito kill each other in the dimension

How would the alliance know if the war was over or not? They would be assuming that Kakashi and Obito are still fighting each other in the dimension, and they would have to wait for days since they don't know who won or not.

war isn't just about Obito. Yes he plays a good part in it but in reality the war is about the juubi. so if they both die and don't come back they wouldn't hold their breath after some time they would assume either one of them has died in battle. the war will be over when the juubi is destroyed or sealed.

Their fight is already over, Obito is headed back to the battlefield, Kakashi is "dead", but he'll make a miraculous recovery in the most dire situation. (Because that's what heroes / one shot kings do.)
