If Jiraiya was still alive?

If Jiraiya (my favorite character in the series) managed to escaped, or choose to escape from pain, (he did have the option). And went back to konoha, what do you think his role in the current arc would be?

-Together fighting with Gokage?
-Fighting with Kakashi/Naruto/Guy?
-Joining Orochimaru and former Edo hokage group?
-Trying to reunine the Legendary Sennin and start a new bad-ass team with Orochimaru, Tsunade And Jiraiya?

Except not really because if he chose to escape Pain then Naruto wouldnt have been able to defeat him so he wouldve been killed in the invasion.

Sasuke wouldve had to go to konoha to kill danzo. If he killed danzo then konoha wouldve stepped in.

Good theory Dionysus, i was thinking about mentioning him becoming hokage, but he declined once, he would have declined again i think. He would have recommended kakashi for Hokage i'm sure.

He would have escaped and with asistance from Konan recovered in the Ame hideout. Knowing the identity of the true antagonist, he would need to stay hidden until he was able to make his way back to Myobokuzan where he would continue to perfect his Sage mode, and also in order to be strong enough to save Naruto's ass then progress Naruto's training, who will have been all but beaten at the time by the antagonist.
