No, because as utilitarianism dictates: a morally good action is one that helps the greatest number of people. One shouldn't be killed for preventing a war within his own village and even greater potential threats such as Other nation's attacking the ruined country that would have consumed the same amount of lives + more. People are too consumed with the method by which they were killed and fail to realize that the same individuals casting blame on his action's would not have held such position's or perhaps may not have even been alive if Itachi had not taken such actions. ​

This, if he didn't take the measures required to kill the Uchiha then they would have revoked. During that time news would have spread and other villages would have eventually attacked Konoha which would have resulted in even more lives lost.

Killing innocents, especially children, is not acceptable. Also, Konoha fuqed up even more and Itachi knew it himself.

He stopped a civil war, Which would of most likely of caused another shinobi world war and possiblely complete destruction of the entire leaf village.
By killing his clan he saved thousands of shinobi lives and countless innocent Men/Women and children lives.

People were going to die, Both shinobi and innocents, regardless of itachi taking actions or not. Itachi chose the path that has far less bloodshed

That was an undercover act and such acts are usually not moral enough to be known to general masses. In case the word gets out, authorities has to do something because they can't outright say that we were behind this. Also Itachi agreed to take the blame, if he's caught (I know fangirls will start raging that he's invincible and stuff; Let's just assume here) and to be punished (executed)...

I'd agree because that coup can never be used as a justification, it never happened and yet he did the massacre...

-Helped Obito commit genocide by massacring the entire Uchiha clan.
-Worked under and served Danzo, basically a power-hungry dictator.
-Was the reason Sasuke abandoned Konoha in search of greater power.
-Joined a terrorist organization called Akatsuki and actively participated in recruiting members and hunting bijuus.
-Tortured Kakashi and tried to kill him.
-Went after Naruto along with Kisame and tried to capture the Kyubi in Part 1.

But he totally redeemed himself when he beat Kabuto and stopped the Edo Tensei right? Except basically all the Edos except Madara had been sealed by that point, and Madara himself could escape the Edo Tensei jutsu so it didn't even matter or have a lasting effect.

Itachi would definitely deserve the death penalty. He was by no means a good guy even if the manga portrayed him that way. His only interest was looking out for Sasuke, who's not that great of a person either.

-Joined Obito so he could help him complete his mission given him to him by his superiors, as an result he stopped Obito from directly ****ing with the village.

-Killed the clan under order of the superiors which as a result stopped the 4th great ninja war happening prematurely and saved Konoha from getting destroyed.

-Was also the reason Sasuke didn't end up a victim of war and kept him out of Danzou's hands.



-Joined the Akatsuki under orders from the Hokage in order to spy on them, while him activley getting memebrs is a baseless assumption because nobody joined after Itachi. While the only Bijuu hunt he took part in was against Roshi where he seemingly steered clear of.

-Oh wait you talking about the part where he could of easily killed Asuma, Kakashi and Kureni and stopped Kisame from doing so?


-Only went after Naruto to keep cover and to remind Danzou he was here, if Itachi was serous about taking Naruto they would of been long go before J Man arrived.
