Itachi doesn't have FTG or a counter for Kamui, thus he loses horribly.

Kamui from obito doesn't kill, and when obito is jumping himself it isn't that fast and can be countered by a faster tech such as amaterasu which would make obito stop the jump and try to get rid of the amaterasu and then he would be hit with totsuka. Base gai was able to remain un warped by obito and even said to obito that he couldn't warp him and base gai speed < itachi not only that but itachi is the master of figuring out jutsu and finding a way to win and its a manga fact that obito feared itachi and its a manga fact that obito is vulnerable when jumping himself.

No denying that Itachi held Obito in check. Obito knew better than to make a move against Konoha or suffer the wrath of Itachi. Obito knew better hence why he waited to make any serious moves until Itachi died
