Will I perform better in high school if I exert all of my energy into the school work and post education? That means minimal social activity, less gaming, less social media, more studying, and a more serious attitude.

I don't know if I should though. I would basically become a nerdy loner.

You'll go super saiyan

Edit: you should.. Work hard now and things will pay off in the future. You're still in hs now so you don't know what the grown up world is like yet. Don't worry about being a "loner"... Most people in hs you won't even know anymore by a year after graduation.

Well you're a rare exception lol. How many friends of those do you still associate with?

And my point to him wasn't to abandon his friends just to focus more on the bigger picture. Friends come and go but his future is what's coming for him.

You will be just a cut from the rest your life maybe easier in the long run in goverment terms but youll find your self alone and sad. You could miss alot of whats life about if you just devote your time in one thing. Its cool to get mediocre grades as long as you can pursue what you want in life just be sure you friends and family to help you along your way no one in this world can get through life without a connection just ask my drug dealer

Live now , complain later

All people talking about succes and having it better when you're older

How can you ruin your own youth? Y'all just boring and uncreative so you try and reach better things for the future.

When you're older life becomes boring.

For me life after 30s is done for me.

It is really not that hard to balance your school work and social life. People only say its hard because they're too lazy to do both or are just lazy at life and expect things to get better just because they believe it will

Then again though, he should have a little fun at least. I don't wanna grow up and think about what I should've/could've done.

Of course... I never said he can't have fun. Balance is key. You just have to know what your priorities are.

Pretty much this. But I'd say this applies to College. In highschool, as long as your gpa is 3.2 unweighted and 3.6-8 weighted, and u have commu service. I'd say you can get in a decent uni. But going the CC route for two years is one) easier to get into and 2) much cheaper. the, if your college gpa is 3.5> you could get into pretty good uni. once your in college, if you have a stem major its absolutely key to make studys priority 1. Go hard and apply yourself bc ultimately you need to actually be learning this stuff.

TLDR: Go hard, put all your effort into school, it will pay off in when that resume is top notch with high gpa, clubs, and INTERNSHIPS!

aND YOU CAN FIND A BALANCE FOr a social life just have to maintain great time management.

But I understand, I struggle with my school commitment but not so much compared to the past.

You can still maintain a 4.0 while having a decent social life. It's honestly not that hard, just make sure you pay attention in classes and put in the work when you have to. It's even better if you hang around those who also want to get good grades, but it's not necessarily important. Tbh, you can hang around anyone as long as they don't stop you from improving yourself and your grades. You also still have time for gaming and all that other stuff. Me and my (nerd) group of friends procrastinate quite a bit but the majority of us ended up in the top 10 of our class by simply paying attention in class. If you're planning on taking AP Courses, it might be better to keep procrastinating to a minimum.
