Because he made his character that way...... He didn't want to kill Aizen.. but he will kill him by the end...

If you fans really believe a writer can't kill his own character, then you guys must be really naive..

He could've easily made Ichigo get a power that had the power to kill any immortal.. did he tho? no.. cause he wanted Aizen alive.. not because he couldn't kill him.

I can think of plenty of ways they can finish of Madara...

In the end after a big long and epic fight Madara will regenerate wounds done to him by Naruto big epic attack led with Sasuke and a few other alliance guys. When all looks lost we will see that the Sage built in a failsafe and in a critical moment where Madara has an internal struggle, someone will kill him and end the war. The TB will depart back to the moon and I bet ninjutsu leaves. The TB will conclude that in a way, Madara was right. Human beings were never meant to have this power, and that they need to leave for the sake of world peace.

Naruto becomes Hokage and Sasuke the new Danzo. Kakashi is probably dead along with Obito. Demon god thing is the final boss, and I bet he created the Juubi (or maybe is the Juubi's consciousness itself). A real ass pull is Rikudou is the final boss.

Yeah that's what I mean. Madara will remember the days where he used to fight alongside the other Uchiha and realize why he enjoyed battle, and in the end he will accept being defeated. Madara seems like the sort of villain that secretly wants to be defeated by someone stronger than him.

I still think that we will see Madara wasn't entirely evil, he was just an egomaniac. Madara prolly will manage to trap most of the world in genjutsu at this rate. Sasuke and Naruto prolly get out due to plot hacks and somehow stop him. Kishi's interview suggested Lee is part of the final team to take down Madara as well. Since Kakashi wasn't mentioned in the interview... heh, Japanese style that means he's basically dead. Pay attention to his last words to Naruto before he went to fight kakashi. If you know Japanese read that version...

It's a quote of an old samurai that went into battle. He died saving his students. Kakashi knew he was either going to die versus Obito or Madara. He knew those would be his last words to Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke. It's actually really sad :/ The Japanese translates to "I entrust this to you/I leave this to you" or "I leave my ideals or will to you". I believe these are probably Kakashi's last words to Naruto and Sakura.
