yeah that DBZ movie was a nightmare they are going to be doing Ghost in the shell and the director for that wants to do a Naruto live action after the ghost in the shell one if i remember rightly.

Maybe they put less effort into making film based on Japanese fictional story(manga/anime) compared to film based on American fictional story(comic).

If they put good amount of focus on it, sure film based on Japanese manga can become a big hit globally.

Why would Hollywood try to do that when Japan can create a failure itself, and with even cheaper.

No but serious, I don't think they would succeed. The thing with Hollywood is that they will rarely keep track with the original story or with what people loved Naruto for. No matter how much time they would take they cannot put up the entire meaning Naruto stands for in just 3 hours max. They will not make the movie only for the naruto fans but even attract a larger audience and they need to make it fairly simple for them, ruining the whole complex it has.

Look at the Last Airbender, or Dragonball Evolution. They were tragic failures, and so will any movie because of simple reasons.
