Also she only became strong by watching Naruto so if no Naruto then she would still be the shy stalker girl she was in part 1 and first halve of Shippuden, if she likes you then she wouldn't really talk to you as she talked to Naruto 6 times and she loves him so unless you go for her, you'll know nothing about her as Naruto knows about her from other people such as Kakashi, Lee, and Neji.

You brought up chapter 78 Lol...You probably missed that in a more recent Shippuden chapter, Hiashi was full of praise for Hinata when she was fighting along side Neji.

The scan still holds true, sure he praised Hinata now but that doesn't mean he still doesn't view Hanabi as being better than Hinata. He is most likely that Hinata is becoming a stronger person both in ninja skills and mentally but Hanabi was already strong mentally and physically from a young age and he even takes her on missions with him at the age of 9. Is she was stronger than Hinata at 5 while Hinata is 12 plus she gets personal training from her dad the for like 4-5 years while Hinata have about 2.5 years of training from Neji then I'm leaning towards Hanabi being more skilled.

Currently I do think Hinata is still the heir just like how her dad was heir compared to Neji dad just for being older but I think the dad would rather Hanabi be heir from the amount of time he spends honing her skills. Maybe he'll change the rules to make Hanabi heir or he might leave Hinata as heir but that's all up to Kishi
