Obviously, he's not just going to pop out of nowhere and say "Surprise, i'm not dead!". I would fully expect that from Gin, but it's not gonna happen.

The only scenario i can see him coming back is if Mayuri had a Zombie Gin. It would make sense, he just has to search for corpses in Karakura after the Deicide arc. If it is Zombie Gin, he would most likely be able to wreck any of the sternritters remaining on the lower level, and possibly be able to fight against the sternritters on the top.

Zombie Gin scenario would mean he goes with Mayuri to fight Pernida, whom he promptly wrecks with Kamishini No Yari. He would also be able to deal with Gerard in the same way while still with Mayuri's Group, if only his sword had some sort of ability that increased it's reach.

Past that, you have Lille being wrecked by Nanao's Enchanted Paddle of Lille-Slaying, and Urahara beating Askin as usual, since neither of them would be large scale enough for Gin to accurately snipe with Kamishini No Yari.

Then you have Mayuri's group arriving at the Silbern, and being all killed by Yhwach, except for Hanataro who would come out of the shadows, go Bankai, and one shot Yhwach.

No no zombie Gin he would come back as a normal soul, something like Rangiku saved him, hid his spiritual pressure and took him to the cabin where they were kids and heald him, maybe with Hanataros help. What do you think?

I've already been clear on that one: It would be great if Gin was still alive, but he isn't, and that's an end to the matter. The only viable way of bringing Gin back into the plot is if he was one of Mayuri's Zombies, like Charlotte, Luppi, Dordoni and Cirucci.

I wouldn't mind Gin coming back, but I doubt he will. On the other hand, some plot twists have happened so there's still a small possibility that he might come back.
I'd love to see his bankai at it's full potential xd !

It does bother me that Mayuri settled for two Privadon Espada, a Fraccion, and an ex-Espada, when the corpse of the Primera Espada was honestly pretty much in pristine condition. Gin probably could have been saved, as in the short period it took for Ichigo to kick Aizen's ass, Orihime was able to make it to Karakura. He would have been dead for 15 minutes or something like that, and if Rangiku had just stabilized him with Kaidō, Orihime would have just rejected the damage and Gin could have been declared a hero or something.

Also, I think if they had gotten Starrk as a zombie, then they would have an ace in the hole. I think Starrk would be incredibly willing to help the Gotei 13, as both the Arrancar and the Shinigami have the mutual goal of defeating the Quincies to protect their worlds, and I believe he would feel the need to repay Ichigo for protecting Hueco Mundo. And honestly, there's no logical reason to pass him over. Luppi got disintegrated, and was fixed with a couple of stiches. Starrk died from a color game, which I still call bs on as he had no black on his body for Shunsui to cut. If someone missing their body from the knees up can be resurrected, then he wouldn't have needed much more than a band-aid.
