Not necessarily. You only need to join the transmigrants' chakras with EMS. The only reason why anUchiha would know was b/c they have the tablet full of information and they're full of hate.

This is unsupported, i dont think EMS makes any difference to MS or 3T.
What BZ basically said is that madara had greater chance and i think being doujutsu users comes in play here.

How does the scan suggest that madara had a better chance than hashirama? BZ simply said he knew madara could do it because madara was the one who wanted to awaken it. Hashirama probably had no knowledge of the rinnegan. The fact that black zetsu approached both trans-migrants proves that either trans-migrant had an equal chance of awakening the rinnegan.

Hashirama knew of so6p and his jutsus, BZ said he kept approaching both sides so there have been some senjus to want some power too.

He probably had faith in madara because madara was just smarter and more calculating than the previous transmigrants. Perhaps the previous transmigrants fought each other to acquire the other one's power and ended up killing each other in the process. Maybe only madara had the foresight to use izanagi.

I dont see how any of listed are factors, even madara awakened it near his end.

I could go further and speculate on sasuke and naruto, they are both are transmigrants, saliva is DNA and they both were near death couple of times now, yet it wasnt so simple to awaken it and so far only sasuke did.

It wouldn't make sense that Madara awakens the Rinnegan if he adds Hashirama's DNA, but not work if Hashirama transplants Madara's eyes U_U

It wouldn't make sense that Madara adds Hashirama DNA to himself awakens the Rinnegan yet Hashirama doesn't do the same if he transplanted Madara's eyes into himself U_U

Rinnegan is doujutsu, madara is doujutsu user and even then he only awakened it at his end.

Basically it was hard for madz and logically he had better odds, not that im saying its all impossible to hashi but its pretty slim chance for him.
