He was just acting his best to make the plan happen. He kills everyone in his way, not because he hates them.
He even gave the Shinobi alliance a chance to submit before any bloodshed is spilt.
He doesn't have a grudge to Kakashi for killing rin. He blames the real world for being cruel and full of suffering that eventually caused the death of rin.

Exactly. Are we just suppose to expect Hashirama can defeat Nagato who has become proficient with rinnegan which Hashirama never encountered in his life before.
If Naruto had a hard time, Hashirama will too for character development. Kishi will do the same.
