If silly Danzo had not killed the frog and Naruto was informed of the Pain Ivasion earlier, what do you think the outcome would be? I was thinking that while all those fights and interrogations were going on, Naruto was actually doing effective training that would be useful to him later in the fight with Pain. So perhaps the time lag actually helped Naruto gain an upper hand, especially after Pain had wasted a lot of energy destroying the village once he found that Naruto was not there...

And also, is it just me or had we not seen Konohamaru do the Rasengan before he hit Pain with it? After remembering all of Naruto's struggles learning it (and he is the Fourth's son!), it is hard to believe Konohamaru did it from the first try! Although maybe they just didn't show his practices...

And if danzo had not killed the frog the hidden leaf village would be not completely destroyed, but severely damaged because naruto would go on a rampage just like he did against pain and destroy the buildings

then he would be weighed down by guilt

Lord Hiruzen's Grandson has inherited his ability to master all Techniques in Konoha.
He easily made Rasengan his first try - without even practicing it -, and that just proves how skilled Lord Hiruzen was in his youth.

the actual thing that helped Naruto in that Pein fight was the fact that while Pein had the chakra rods in Naruto, he didn't knock Naruto out and take the chakra while he was napping. He was already immobilized so it wouldn't have been a problem to just knock him out at that point. :) although being kicked in the face would really suck.

No.... Naruto came up with the faster method, Kage Bunshins, and taught it to Konohamaru.

pnj for the wi.. main character, it wouldnt change pretty much anything, but if naruto wasnt the main character, pain would have killed him in blink of an eye almost. only + would been that instead of reviving the village he would recover himself and focusing the future conqueror.

Er, but he doesn't defeat Naruto...as far as I remember he uses Kyuubi power (although you can argue that was because of Hinata). I doubt Naruto would have lost so easily by just being pinned down, anyway.

Thanks for the input, guys. That makes sense. I just thought it was frustrating how everyone was fighting while Naruto was napping on giant leaves and whatnot.

And if Hiruzen was so great why was the sealing jutsu on Oro all it took for him to die..?
