Agree with OP. And he is alive, otherwise that scene where some unknown dude was treated by Dragon's crew at the time of Sabo being "killed", what would be the point?
Just fooling us into believing it was Sabo for nothing? Because that would be trolling on the highest level. And we didn't even see Sabo die, it was just assumed (Just like with Bon Kurei vs Magellan)
