If akutski/kabuto wanted senju DNA, why didnt they get it off tsunade?

It seems that in the recent arc a lot of akutski' and kabuto's plans have revolved around zetsu and senju DNA. What i dont get is instead of trying scrape together traces of hashiramas DNA why didnt they just try to get it off tsunade?

3 reasons i can think of why they didnt do this:

1. Tsunade is a hard arse b*%#!

2. They are using th DNA that was already obtained by madara and passed to tobi. Therefore didnt need to collect more.

3. Its easier to get DNA off someone whos dead than chase around a living person.

Either way ive been pondering this for a little while and want some opinions. Is also possible that tsunades dna aint pure enuff but who knows.

They wanted not just senju DNA, but wood release DNA as well.

Probably because she didn't have wood release, or it was easier to go after Yamato than her.

^I'm going to go with that last statement. Obviously Kabuto is completely power hungry so it'd make sense that he wants as much DNA he can get. He probably already thought about that and realised the DNA was too abstract from that of Hashirama. Just a speculation though.

It's not same, Just Senju Hashirama is able to wood release even his younger brother Tobirama can not use wood release so they need Hashirama's DNA. They dont care about any Senju DNA. or even half blooded slug Senju DNA who is senju+uzumaki.

what tsunadde inherited from the 1st was the healing abilities and hashi had both healing abilities and mokouton. also the fact he was the only senju to be able to use mokouton as we have seen but their could be others that weren't mentioned in the manga.

Thank people, yea makes sense as they need wood release to clone zetsu and give him life i would of though. Completely slipped my mind! I thought maybe it wud help shed so e light as to how tobi was was possibly created and how orochi already had sum DNA to make tenzo/yamato.

They want Hashirama and HIS abilities, not just senju DNA. Hashirama could heal without seals use mokuton and control Biju. Tsunade cannot do all of these things neither can Yamato

First of all, they wanted only hashirama's dna and not the senju clan. Each person in the senju clan was not half as strong as hashirama. Hashirama had the strongest life force in naruto series, the senju had life force, but not up to half of hashirama.
