If they told you the truth about being a transsexual, the STD wouldn't disappear, nor would that prevent it from being transmitted. Same if they were cis. Them being a transsexual has no relation to you contracting an STD from them, so "What if they gave me an STD" is irrelevant to the discussion.

well if it wasn't obvious in anyway and there's a completely successful surgery, i'm not sure i'd care so much. in fact there are some things i'd appreciate about that. such as no period, and can't get pregnant.

but anyway, everyone is entitled to go at their own pace. I feel like they should come out relatively early in a relationship but it's forgivable not to come out with it from the start. For example, i have a friend that has HIV.. but she doesn't advertise that immediately or she'd never date. She lets a reasonable amount of time to pass and allows them to start to get to know her a bit before they are instantly turned off and scared away.

Just had a thought. It's still completely unfair to not tell your potential long term partner that you're trans from the get go despite societies general reaction because if they can't accept you for you or love you so much they wouldn't care. Well then they're not the right one for you are they?

I wouldn't be anymore of a criminal than she is. Justice system exists so people don't seek out their own. If they did society would collapse. However, failing to put a law in place regarding this means society has failed me already.
