Yes but Guy is not essential for the stories progression, plus Obito is about to die, its not like he is just gonna go home like "wow long day huh?".

Kishi fails with killing off his characters, I mean Oda doesn't do it much either but when he does it actually means something like when Ace died.

Madara has not killed anyone that actually has a name since the war started. The fodders are the only ones that he actually killed. The kages are getting ripped apart because they are already dead but no one has actually suffered by Madara hand that has a name. Might Guy will kill himself or get some hits in and then die.
