Depends on the definition of success. An idiot can't accomplish anything worthwhile, and a lazer won't care to do anything, so his successes will make no difference to him.

The genius. Laziness isn't really handicapping them, as much as being an idiot.

If the idiot stays an idiot, their drive is useless. Meanwhile the lazy genius will complete the task whenever they feel like doing it.
