Well, I have a problem.
My Image-file Icons show up as the default Icon, the paper-one. (The regular thumbnails work just fine, when you view the folder in "Medium" etc. . .) But they are still linked with Windows Image Viewer, they open just fine. But somehow, the PNG-Icon or JPEG-Icon itself wont show up. I mean, it isn't a big deal but it's really annoying for people like me.

I already tried deleting the Icon-cache and tried to change Default Programs and linked files but nothing worked - Also, I deleted all unnecessary files out of the Shell Icon Registry, nothing worked. Here's an example;

You must be registered for see images

And yes, I googled as well but I couldn't find anything I havent done. And I am to lazy to re-install 7.

if you have a trusted source you should get this file msvcrt.dll
it's the dll file that your default icons are stored at
you can find it in this directory
C:\WINDOWS\system32\msvcrt.dll
you can ask a friend to give you a copy of his
if it doesn't work there is also an other file that can possible cause this , but it's less likely
but don't just google the dll file and download it , because it's more than likely to be a virus
