Now that that there has been full confirmation that Ichigo's parents are a shinigami and quincy, we are finally able to get a bit of closure on his heritage.

Even from the day he could remember, Ichigo has always been able to see spirits which is natural considering his lineage. But, his sisters were different. It isn't clear if Karin could see spirits like Ichigo could when she was young, but it has been said that she was nowhere near his level when it came to spiritual phenomenon so it is doubtful. Yuzu didn't even have the ability to see spirits, though she could slightly sense their presence. This is abnormal for her, especially when her parents were quite powerful in the spirit department.

I think I have an explanation as to why Karin and Yuzu were not as powerful as Ichigo when they were born. I think that Ichigo's own powers were unknowingly suppressing Karin's and Yuzu's, stopping them from growing even further. When Ichigo lost his powers for the second time, Ichigo said that Karin soon became the next spiritualist medium after him. Yuzu's powers may have increased also but there has been no mention of it yet. This wouldn't apply to Isshin, since he can control his spirit energy. (I know this is only a theory but it's the best I can come with for now.)

Another point that might factor into this are Isshin and Masaki themselves. Since we don't know when exactly Isshin lost his powers, or if masaki still had her own; Ichigo could have been born when they still had their powers, and Yuzu and Karin may have been born after their parents gave up their powers. This may explain why Ichigo is so different from his sisters. (Please note that this is pure speculation on my part, I'm not saying it's true.)

So now here comes my question: If Ichigo can be classified as part-quincy and-shinigami, can his sisters be classified as this as well if they have their powers awakened, or do you think this only applies to Ichigo?

Sounds plausible but I think the hollow that looks like Ichigos hollow form has a lot to do with Ichigos development too.

yes, i think that it applies to his sisters too since they are too children from a quincy and shinigami.

And your theory looks reasonable but i kinda doubt that it will turn out to be true :)

i think that until we find out exactly what happened to isshin involving his loss of spirit pressure we won't know much but i like the theory seems plausible

Good Theory... only thing i have to interject on is right now we dont know that if Isshin actually did lose his powers, or even losing them to the FGT. That, only thing we have to go by first is that Urahara say to Isshin (few chapters before he kills the Grand Fisher for good after it became an Arancar rampaging through Kurakura Town) when he dawns his Shinigami Garments again that "It's been a while since you wore those" - then they both say something along the lines that his powers are slowly coming back. Then he mentions the FGT to Ichigo during the middle of the Aizen Fake Kurakura Town incident. Which means he learned the knowledge of the abilities existence, but may have never used it. we just dont know. For all we know he couldve been in fatigue or out of shape due to lack of training which could be why his powers were not as strong as they used to be.

Your forgetting the time when Isshin spoke to Uryus' father, Ryuken. He mentioned about Isshin getting his powers back. I'm not saying Isshin used the FGT but he did lose his powers at some point.

i do recall that yes. Is it possible he lost them through Fatigue? i mean by not using them in such a long long time? guess we will have to wait and find out?
