[Theory] Ichigo never had a Bankai.....

Okay i know it sounds weird because countless times we have seen Ichigo go Bankai......but since Kubo splattered us all with Zangetsu is not Zangetsu crap, i think we might finally get some new answers to the questions we had ever since the beginning of the series......and this statement by Byakuya makes me more assured that we might actually see Ichigo's real Shikai and Bankai...........but lets get some things clear first...

1. Since Ichigo wasn't even using Zangetsu's power to fight till now I am assuming he never achieved the materialization that is necessary for the Bankai.....Instead he came face to face with Ywach from 1000 years ago.

2. Now many people will counter then why the hell did his sword change its shape when he called out its name.....so i think is that since Ichigo never had an asauchi Zangetsu wasn't really imbibed with his sword so as to change shape and release its powers. I believe that Ichigo somehow unlocked some of Zangetsu's powers when he released his Bankai....so what actually should have been his Shikai was unlocked when he forcibly released his Bankai..

I know that this sounds crazy but look at this.......

3. Also remember that Isshin fired a Getsuga in his sword's unreleased state....also Urahara while teaching Ichigo fired something similar so we can conclude that Getsuga isn't an innate zanpakuto ability....even Shunsui's bushonguma seems to be similar

So now Ichigo has got two swords that are not twins and there is a high possibility that they both are in their unreleased state......we might actually get to see some interesting things after all...

I coulda sworn Ichigo is using a hybrid Zanpakto Shikai that utilizes his Quincy/Hollow/Soil Reaper Powers all at once hence the reason he double weilds. One is Quincy/Soul Reaper Zangetsu and the other is Hollow Zangetsu.

Of course. He has been doing something other than bankai the entire time. Byakuya told us as much "that isn't a bankai." He wills into existence a psuedo-bankai to protect his friends but it's just super speed. He mimics getsuga. Learned that from Urahara..

yea, thats currently. and i think its more like one is quincy & one is hollow. his hollow is his soul reaper powers.

OP: i dont think he unlocked any of zangetsu's powers, his inner quincy (young juha) just tricked him. all getsuga does is condense reiatsu into the blade and fires it. just like a quincy bow.

the white v. ulquiorra fight has me hoping that his bankai is that transformation.
