Ichigo's Mugetsu didn't even kill Aizen. Even after using his most powerful attack and losing all his powers Ichigo still didn't kill Aizen. Aizen was still alive. Had Urahara not implanted the Kidou inside Aizen's body Aizen would have killed Ichigo while Ichigo was losing his powers. Urahara's Kidou was what finished Aizen in the end. Not Ichigo.

Ichigo would get murdered. Period.

Ichigo's final form is already the complete and perfect fusion of his Hollow and Shinigami powers.

Ichigo fought against Tensa Zangetsu in his Inner World. Before they fought Tensa Zangetsu fused with Ichigo's Hollow.

Mugetsu was Ichigo's most powerful attack. Nothing else he has beats the power of Mugetsu. This is a fact.

Even after using Mugetsu on Aizen Aizen was still alive.
Aizen was alive and Ichigo was already in the process of losing his powers.
Aizen would then have finished Ichigo because Ichigo would have been powerless, literally.


In short, Ichigo used his most powerful attack on Aizen and it did not kill him.


The only reason Aizen was defeated in the end was because of Urahara's implanted Kido.
Had it not been for Urahara's kido Aizen would have survived Ichigo's Mugetsu and killed him. Period.
