Ice is the combination of Water and Wind. It is cold. It is frozen water or solid water. It has a lower density then water so it floats.

It is strong against water and wind since they are its composite elements but weak against lightning and earth which can break it. It is neutral to fire.

Haku uses Ice. Some filler fodder use Snow but who meh... can't be assed with them.

Basically, lol.

To explain it more thoroughly, Ice element is created by the mixture of Water and Wind chakras.
Ice can be materialized from thin air, created from water, rise from a surface, released from the user, etc.
Yep, strengths and weaknesses are pretty much correct.
Water is actually 2x as weak to Ice and Wind is also weak to ice. So, B-rank ice would withstand A-rank wind, while B-rank ice would be able to withstand S-rank water (so long as its logical like one ice shield that's somehow B-rank wouldn't adequately defend against... water colliding wave, or something of that size and density)

Fire melts ice obviously, which you can use as a water source if the ice melted was large enough o-o But it is only neutral to ice.

Ice forming creates a distinguishable "Crackling sound"... or like, you know what I mean.

Questions?
If you have none, we can go ahead and start with the techniques. ;p

(Hyouton: Shimogakure no Jutsu) - Ice Release: Hiding in Frost Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 15 (-5 per turn active)
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user after performing the rat hand seal covers the surrounding area in frost, creating a cold mist and drastically lowering the temperature of the surrounding area. Despite not as hindering as the hidden mist, the technique enables a ninja to more stealthy move and surprise his enemy who will be hindered by both the thin mist and the freezing temperature.
You basically send the ice chakra all throughout the terrain with the rat hand seal and apply the properties of ice into the surrounding areas to reduce the temperature and cover the terrain in frost, which would create a cold mist as well.T his allows you to set up attacks and combinations efficiently, and with increased stealth. How would you use this technique in battle?

(Hyouton no Jutsu) Ice Release Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user can use this jutsu to make it begin to snow down on the terrain, or, much like the “Earth Style Technique” the user can make small pillars or shields of pre-existing ice or make it materialize. If this is used to make snow, then after 3 to 4 turns most of the terrain will be covered.
This is basically an ice version of the Basic earth technique. You can create a large variety of things, however, it must be logical for a D-rank technique, lol. Like, you can't make some giant buddha statue or anything of that level xD This can also be used to make snow.
If you know how to use and the limits of the Basic earth technique, this one shouldn't be too difficult to comprehend.
Questions?

(Hyouton: Tsubame Fubuki) Ice Release: Swallow Snow Storm
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user will shoot out a cluster of needles, shaped like swallows, which will fly out toward their target with great speed. The swallows are unable to be dodged as they can change direction in mid-air, redirecting themselves to hit their target. This jutsu is also highly resistant to fire attacks, unable to be destroyed by fire jutsu unless it is higher than C ranked.
Hm, analyze this technique for me, please.
It's self explanatory, so shouldn't be too hard.

I would never use that technique in battle other than if another technique needed a mist source. It is quite the vanilla technique, and Hiding in the Mist seems like a much better option since it is able to hinder 100% vision.

No questions.

A simple technique that just shoots out a bunch of swallows at the opponent. You can control them in mid-air so the opponent can't just jump out of the way but they can go into long range and avoid it. Seems like a useless technique in the grand scheme of things but it in itself is not bad since it is pseudo-unavoidable.

(Hyouton: Hyōrō no Jutsu) Ice Release: Ice Prison Technique
Rank: C
Type: Attack/Defense
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user will rise up what seems like a jagged pillar of ice from the ground, encasing their opponent and freezing them in place. The user can also use this on themselves, encasing themselves in ice to defend them from jutsu. Being an ice user, however, the user will still be able to move their arms and legs fluently while in the ice.
You must be registered for see images

You basically cause an ice pillar to rise up to freeze the opponent in place. It can be applied on yourself, but that's kind of dangerous given its low rank. You can however move your arms/legs easily while in the ice.

This is simple enough; questions?

(Hyouton: Sensatsu Suishou) Ice Release: 1000 Needles of Death
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user will make needles surround the opponent from all sides. Directly above them, though, there is an opening. The user can jump away at the last second before the needles converge on their opponent, or they can simply perform the jutsu from a safe distance.
One of the more powerful techniques. You use the moisture in the air to materialize senbons made of ice through ice chakra, which is created via nature transformation. You use shape manipulation to shape it into senbons, and create about a thousand of them. It covers all sides, except for the top and obviously the bottom therefore there is an opening for evasion.

You can use it in short-range, where you can jump up from the opening to escape before the needles converge upon the opponent, or you can use it further away where you don't have to worry about being impaled by your own technique haa.

How would you use this in a combination (especially since theres an easy way to escape from above o-o)?

Yes, it is a simple technique. I don't think opponents will have much problems breaking out of it.

I'd probably use it to force my opponent to go up by purposefully leaving an opening, or I would use a technique that comes from above at the same time. But if I had to get to the point, I wouldn't use a technique like this that leaves such a blatant hole unless I can exactly predict my opponent's next move which isn't always the case early in the battle. This seems more like a suicide technique where you expect the technique to fail to gain an understanding of the opponent's fighting style, and that's the way I would use it with the complete reassurance that it will be blocked or avoided in some manner.

(Hyouton: Hōgohi Engai) – Ice Release: Protective Ice Dome
Rank: B
Type: Defense
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The can quickly create an ice dome around his allies and himself to act as a defence. It is strong enough to withstand the assault of many exploding tags at once, remaining almost undamaged.
This one is a quick defense where you can create an ice dome very quickly, anywhere within short-range. It's large enough to protect a few people and it is a great defense against water techniques ;p This is a dome-shaped ice structure and was seen used by Haku when he was reincarnated and had to fight the Alliance. What are the pros and cons of this defense?

(Hyouton Hijutsu: Sensatsu Suishō no Shi) – Secret Ice Release: Flying Needles of Death and Destruction
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: A stronger version of the original Flying Needles of Death gathers large amounts of Needles from the air and surrounding environment into more than a thousand needles. He then directs the needles to a specific target, and leaps back to avoid damage to himself. The difference is that these needles are literally icicle spikes, and after damaging the target the icicle spikes melt into a light cold rain.
This one's a stronger version of the earlier technique. You materialize a large amount of ice needles from the surrounding environment, equalling into more than a thousand needles. You can direct the needles and target it to a specific target, where you can jump back to prevent it from hitting you.
These icicles created are larger than the ones created from the C-rank version

If you understood the parent technique, you should understand this with ease. Questions?

Pros: it offers all around protection and the opponent cannot see you.
Cons: it is rather weak and you cannot see the opponent.

No questions. Still a rather lame technique for a B-rank and below, would be worth use at A-rank.

(Hyouton: Rōga Nadare no Jutsu) Ice Release: Wolf Fang Avalanche Technique
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user will create a pack of wolves made of snow that will rush down a mountain and attack the opponent. The user can also simply make a pack of wolves to attack the user without using the mountain, though the momentum they gain from their descent down a mountain makes the jutsu more effective.
This jutsu creates a pack of wolves made of snow through shape manipulation and nature transformation. The wolves can be manipulated to run down the mountain and attack the target through the momentum its gained, and of course, it can be created without the mountain, but it will be less efficient due to its loss of momentum.

How would you use this in battle, if at all?

( Hissatsu Hyōsō ) Certain-Kill Ice Spears
Rank: B
Type: Attack/Defense
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user will create a single, or a large abundance, of very large ice spikes that will protrude from the ground. The spikes were shown to have been about the size, taller even, than a small house. The user can make multiple spikes that will rise up simultaneously in the same general vicinity, or a single one.
You must be registered for see images

This technique is quite simple and straightforward; you create one large spike, or several smaller-sized spikes to protrude from that area. Its size is larger than a small house, as seen from the picture above, and can be used up to mid-range. It's really quite useful, offensive wise, since you're able to make multiple spikes, making it harder for the opponent to evade by moving to one side or another.

How would you defend against this technique? o-o And how would you strategically use this in battle?

(Hyouton: Ikkaku Hakugei) Ice Release: One Horned White Whale
Rank: B
Type: Attack/Defense
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage: 40
Description: A humongous white whale with a single horn made out of ice will be made. The whale can crash into a target using its large horn or simply its massive size, or it can serve defensive purposes; its large size making it capable of blocking any attack that it is capable of withstanding.
You basically create ice and shape it into a large whale with a single sharp horn. It can use its sheer size to crush a target by having it like.. jump on, and land on the target, or use the horn, which is harder to accomplish tbh. Or, you can have it act as a defensive wall of sorts and because of its size, it would be very effective, especially to most Suiton techniques, since it's extra strong to water and it's likely going to be larger than the water technique lol.

A technique that requires a mountain to be effective. I would never use it.

The same way I would defend against earth spears. Either cover yourself with earth that the ice can't break through or wrap yourself with lightning to shatter the ice. There aren't any real strategic uses for a technique that spawns spears. It is more or less a technique that does what you expect it to do which is interrupt the opponent's move.

Luls no questions, but a giant whale is a funny and interesting technique. Worth the use just to create a giant whale.

Omg ikr, and it'll probably take time for the wolfs to run down a mountain. z-z
(Hyouton: Haryū Mōko) Ice Release: Tearing Dragon Fierce Tiger
Rank: B
Type: Attack/Defense
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user will create a giant tiger made out of ice. The tiger cannot even be slightly affected by any water release unless it is A ranked or above (or a combination of water and another element) as it freezes most water release attacks it comes in contact with.
This next one is another animal based one, where you create a giant tiger via ice chakra manipulation. Aside from its ability to attack, whenever it comes in contact with a water technique B-rank or under, it will freeze it, so that's a unique ability. It's straightforward, so, any questions for it?

( Hyōton: Bakusai Hyōshō ) - Ice Release: Blasting Ice Crystal
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user firsts traps the target's feet to the ground by freezing ice onto them. They then uses a specific hand seal which causes the chunks of ice at the target's feet to grow into one large chunk, freezing the target completely. Quickly jumping back they throw several senbon at the frozen target. It partially cracks the chunk of ice, and then shatters outward, damaging the target once more.
This one's neat. Use ice chakra and have ice creep up upon the target's feet to keep them there. Through a specific hand seal (not really specified), expand the ice on the target's feet to grow in size, creating one large ice creation that freezes the target completely.
You can choose to jump back and throw senbons at the frozen target. It would easily pierce through the ice, thus shattering the ice from within, damaging the target even further.

How would you use this technique, considering how easily defendable it can be? z-z

No, but I still think the whale is the funnier technique.

Probably follow it up with a water technique to prevent a lightning technique from just shattering the ice. Seems like a good technique to interrupt someone running but doesn't really seem like a technique that will kill anyone in battle.

(Kyousei Hyouton no Jutsu) Greater Ice Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage: 60
Description: Similar to the original, weaker technique, the Greater Ice technique allows the user to, by making a simple hand seal (Ram) produce walls, pillars, etc of snow or ice. The ice constructs are rather simple in nature but resilient and strong, with the user being able to materialize them anywhere short range (though from that point they can grow up to long range) from him from the moisture in the air. He can, however, use any proportional water source within short-long range of him to produce said constructs. These can also be directed and propelled as projectiles towards targets. In both cases, the size and possible uses are limited only by the users will, chakra and skill. It also allows the user to cool down existing moisture in the high atmosphere to bring down a snow storm, similar to the original technique yet stronger and faster acting. This snow storm will not directly harm anyone but is useful to cover the field in snow rather quickly (2 turns) and to hinder visibility, sense of touch and hearing on anyone caught inside. The user is not immune to these effects though and must spend 15 chakra points per turn to sustain the blizzard, while becoming unable to mold other elements than Water, Wind or Ice.
Gather water and wind chakras to create ice chakras. Send them anywhere within short-range and create ice, or, if a water source is within short-long range, then you can use it as a source of creation as well. It's one of the most versatile techniques ever. It has one specific usage, where you create a blizzard that can hinder ones senses. Other than that, you can use it to materialize ice/snow and use shape manipulation to create constructs of ice that are limited to your imagination. It can be sent out as projectiles, created from the ground, materialized from air. So yeah, its one of the most useful techniques for Ice, imo.
Keep in mind, materializing ice from thin air can only be done within short-range, but from that point, it can be extended to long-range. This can be used on water sources within short-range too, but the amount of water and size of the ice construct should be proportionate.

Give me several creative usages, since there's a lot.

1. Shields to defend with.
2. If on water source, spikes.
3. Nets or other wide spread attacks from close range.

A lot of other stuff, I've use Greater Wood Technique so I know how useful "Greater ____ Technique" can be.

(Hyouton: Aisu Disuku no Jutsu) Ice Release: Ice Disk Technique
Rank: A
Type: Attack/Defense
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user will gather particles into the air and change them into a disk of ice. The ice disks are transparent, and they are therefore nearly invisible at a distance, and difficult to dodge or see until they are very close. They can also be used as highly durable shields or can be used to allow the user to hover in the air by using standing on it. Because of their transparency, the ice disks can be used as a large lens to focus rays of heat from the sun into a powerful beam to capable of melting or exploding a pinpointed area.
Alright, analyze this technique for me, and make sure you cover everything you can do with this technique, since it's a pretty versatile technique lol

1. Discs under my feet to move around and avoid attacks. Lift me up. Transportation essentially.
2. Shields to block certain frontal attacks.
3. A basic attack by launching the discs.
4. Use the magnification to make the area around the target explode.

It could also gain uses depending on the situation.

(Hyouton: Kokuryū Bōfūsetsu) Ice Release: Black Dragon Blizzard
Rank: A
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user will make a giant ether-like dragon of black snow. The dragon is capable of turning while in mid-air, and is therefore very difficult to be dodged. If it hits the opponent successfully, they will be launched high into the air afterwards.

This technique, you create a dragon of black snow. It attacks the opponent and launches them up in the air. It's quite useful for an offensive technique because it can turn whilst mid air, making it very hard to evade. You can hit the opponent in all sorts of way and yada yada.

You must be registered for see images

(Hyouton: Sōryū Bōfūsetsu) Ice Release: Twin Dragon Blizzard
Rank: S
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage: 80
Description: This is an advanced version of “Ice Release: Black Dragon Blizzard,” in which the user makes two of these dragons instead of one. The two dragons then swirl upwards and converge into a massive tornado.

This technique is a stronger version of the technique we just learned, instead, you make two dragons, lol.
These two dragons converge together, creating a massive tornado of what it was made of. Mind you, this technique and the parent technique manipulates an ice source, not creates it.

So, tell me about these techniques. Strategies, uses, etc.
