It was stated during the kage summit that extracting information from the Akatsuki wouldn't be easy. On top of that, Ibiki's job is Hidan's pleasure, so this one should be a particularly hard (if not impossible task).
On the other hand, Ibiki is the best inquisitor in the series so... if anyone can do it its him. Plus, Hidan can't die. He can use that to his advantage.
