I would like to be an Exorcist

I know you have to believe to join the church.

But wouldn’t it be cool if they let people join just so they have the sole duty to become exorcists. Yes, I know demons are not real. 99.9% are a result of lies or mental illness. But the fantasy is still cool.

Maybe I should join the church. I’m already celibate. 6 years now.

Exorcist are only so because that have a strong faith in said religion, so strong that they believe that they can channel that divine faith into another person to cleanse them.

I would say the power is in the words. Why else would they read off the Bible? Otherwise they would just banish demons through any method.

That's why i left the .1% open for the existence of demons. I am more inclined to believe they are interdimensional beings that have the ability to influence us.

Interdimentional. Maybe, whatmade you came to the conclusion that they reside in other dimentions? Besides, you probably already faced a demon but, you were unaware of it. They, "Demons", are far more complexe that what is shown through religions and various fiction books.

i've spent 44 years looking for demons all across the world. So far, nothing. I know it's not conclusive at all, but i would have found one by now. Especially, with all those first hand accounts i went to.

My original understanding was that religion was used to describe the supernatural, not an explanation of the supernatural.

In any case, what I was referring to earlier was that, demons aren't necessarly what is shown and expected to be by Humans in general. Like how we always imagine Aliens, can we be so sure that we aren't already living with them? How should we expect them to look? The same variations apply to "Demons" as well.
