Considering that IT is affected every living thing, including animals and humans, I wouldn't be surprised if Katsuyu was caught and dreaming. IT usually brings out what characters desire the most, so I wonder what it is for Katsuyu.

Maybe she secretly wants to be a human, and walk around normally with the shinobi. Maybe she wants to be Tsunade! I can imagine Tsunade walking around with a Katsuyu face on her body

Maybe she's sick of sitting in a forest, having only small portions of her body summoned, so she desires world domination. She'll drown everyone in her nasty sluggy body fat!
