I disagree, he has a habit of using poeple's strength against themselves. for example the absorbtion pain he absorbed natural energt, but didn't know how to control it. Also the second raikage. he saw that he could use His lighting sword against himself.

He's still edo, he just released himself from the boundaries of edo tensei. Similar to Itachi.
