I wished Kishimoto did more of this.

Right now re-reading my personal favorite manga series of all time, that being Rurouni Kenshin, and I remembered on how periodically between chapters, Watsuki would often write details of what he was currently up to at the time of the late 90's, also relating as to how his process of coming up with ideas for his manga series tends to go, one of his knowing traits is that he often apologizes for when there were breaks in his beloved manga series of Rurouni Kenshin along with sharing the initial design for new characters and where the inspirations came from. It makes me wish at times that Kishimoto did something similar since he is quite notorious for taking more breaks than any other given manga author, and being vague about how his writing or process goes.

It would be interesting. But for some reason I think Kishi's editors have a lot of influence in both the characters and the plot.

Kenshin is da ****ing shit!!!! I remember watching that as a kid along with yu yu hakusho(another great series) and DBZ on toonami back when it was good.

Also I would like kishi to do that too so I could see how he ****ed up his manga so badly, cause I wonder what the hell influenced him to make so many bad writting decisions.

Pointing out that you may have read that phrase wrong there bud, it does not start with "Kishimoto did something..." but instead the words before that, here is the full sentence to make you notice.

"It makes me wish at times that Kishimoto did something similar since he is quite notorious for taking more breaks than any other given manga author, and being vague about how his writing or process goes."

Not going to lie, I had to refrain myself from writing this down.

He did something similar to it for volumes 1-27 of Naruto (Part One) He talked about the initia designs for Team 7, a few pages he had trouble drawing, his life growing up a kid through school, going to college and becoming a Mangaka.

Here's an example of a character design page.

And here's a page about his life

When rereading i suggest doing it on Mangatraders.org, they have alot of the earlier chapters/volumes in High quality, and they're available to download.
