Jutsu formulas aren't symmetrical, meaning they probably messed up during hand-seals. Other than that, marking seems opaque enough so they build up enough chakra.

Are physical effects transferred to the original as well? Like, could I have each clone (idk, 10ish clones in all) do 500 push-ups a day and then in a month or two I'll be pretty dang strong? Does it work like that? Cuz that'd be banging.

Fair enough. But with the Sharingan you can also have pre-cog vision and basically see a bullet coming at you and be a pro-fighter. I can also memorize face expressions and count cards and become a millionaire like Kevin Spacey. I can also put people to sleep and put images in their head.
