I wish Sasuke had killed Sakura

Ok, first off I am in no way a sakura hater, I actually probably enjoy her as an addition to the manga more than most people on this site, but I really wish she had died in that panel.

It's not personal, like I haven't been reading the manga and just wishing she would die, but after last weeks chapter, the moment in which she had the illusion cast on her by sasuke caught me so off guard.

It was the first time the manga made me go:

in years, if ever. I thought for a second that plot shields were thrown out and shit just went down.

Of course until I turned the next page and saw it was just a stupid troll by kishimoto. Even if she somehow survived I would at least liked to have a more elaborate and convoluted explanation as to why and how instead of a "it was a genjutsu" cop out.

Again, no hate, but that moment had me on the edge of my seat for the first time in a good while, it could've been Kakashi or any other extremely relevant character, I just wish kishi had the guts to do stuff like that more often, and for real.

I wish the same. Sakura has no more relevance to this plot besides being a pairing fodder. Kishi should have killed her off there. It would have the intensify the atmosphere leading up to the fight between Naruto & Sasuke and make it a good showdown.

I read it and you wanted a female character to die by the hands of a Uchiha. Do you know how much that would **** up Naruto? It would make him turn into Obito and ask Sasuke why did you kill Sakura?

Kishimoto decides how naruto reacts, and if he had made this decision I doubt he would have made it develop naruto in that way.

Either way,
it's not about sakura specifically dying, read my end note. It could have been kakashi, or one of the kages, or ANYONE who seemed like they had a pretty solid plot shield and I wouldn't imagine getting killed at this point, tension and drama is what makes a story exciting imo.

If the movie characters were not revealed, I would have agreed with this. But sadly Team Seven has been revealed in the movie. I also don't think Kishi is trying to portray Sasuke as a villain here. So killing for the sake of killing would be pointless. But good effort none the less.

Yeah but she lived through Madara stabbing her, so if it was real, she would have regenerated probably. She's OP regarding healing.

It would change the whole dynamic of the final fight if sasuke just killed sakura like that.

I think kishi wants to turn sasuke good or at the very least have him go his own way. If sasuke killed sakura kishis only redemption would be to have sasuke die and nuts to that.
